Mobile app that helps cancer patients.
Increasingly, technology is providing significant changes in their users lives, gamification is the moment word, and every year are created several education games, that are looking forward to educate while we are having fun.
In 2016 was released the Brazilian app Alpha Beat Cancer, a game that has the function to explain to the kinds, and their families, how the cancer acts in the organism and also what are the treatments to bit it.
About Alpha Beat Cancer
Every year approximately 180 000 kids are diagnosis with cancer, and to help in the challenge of explain the terms and also the procedure, the Beaba Institute and the games producer Mukutu, created an app with 20 minigames, that in a clearly and optimism way, roam through procedure that goes from chemotherapy, radiotherapy, ultrasound, tomography, to the care with the alimentation hygiene routine, in a playful and interactive way. The game was created by patients, healthy professionals and developers.

The game came so that the patient can feel part of his treatment, understanding what is being done with him.” Sad Dra. Viviane Sonaglio, pediatric oncologist and technical director from Beaba.
The AphaBeatCancer was the winner of World Summit Awards Health and Welfare, also from the Indie Prize in Casual Connect USA and was selected as one of the best impact games in the Games for Change, in New York.
The app is free and it’s available for iOS and Android. Besides the Portuguese version there is also an English version to demystify the infant cancer treatment around the world.
